India’s Leading Wicket taker in Test Matches

Indian team has done tremendously well in recent time in world cricket. BCCI is the strong pillar in the world council.  BCCI controls the Indian cricket. they provide very good support to Indian cricket team as supporting team, sports staff, better facilities and cricketing grounds.India team also doing well in all the departments batting, fielding, and bowling.  But when comes to weak link of Indian team usually a talk on Indian bowling, when playing in India usually spinner  cover up and most of the time team win. When the team goes overseas, then this bowling attack always lets down the team. In spite of good facilities and all resources, bowling is always in question.

Anil Kumble (1990-2008)

Current Indian coach Anil Kumble is the leading wicket taker of India. Kumble has taken 619 wickets in 132 matches that he has played for India. He took more wickets at home as compared to overseas series. 10 wickets performance in an innings his best spell against Pakistan at Kotla was the best bowling figures.

Kapil Dev (1978- 1994)

1983 world cup Captain and Former All Rounder Kapil Dev was the second leading wicket taker for the Indian team in test matches, He has played 131 matches and 434 wickets. His overseas performance was very good. He was great all rounder for team India . After his retirement still a search of an all-rounder is going. Many have come time to time likes of Robin Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, but no one successful as he was.




Harbhajan Singh (1998-2015)

Harbhajan Singh Sardar from Jalandhar playing for India for 17 years and still going . Currently not in so good form and In and out from the team. He is the third highest wicket-taker for India. Bhajji has taken 417 wickets in 103 matches with very good average. His performance at home is very good and like other spinners struggled to bowl overseas as their pitches favour fast bowlers. Ashwin is the current leading spinner for India. He is playing as the main spinner in the team with Amit Mishra and Bhajji is not in the 15 man squad for the Caribean tour.

Zaheer Khan (2000-2014)

Zaheer Khan the spearhead of India was the great fast bowlers for Indian . Zaheer has taken 311 wickets in 92 appearances. Left-hand swinger of India was the great threat for left-handers batsman. Zaheer had problems with his fitness as other fast bowlers do. Otherwise, he can play more for India and take more wickets. Zaheer is great inspiration for the current set of fast bowlers who are playing for India Likes of Ishant Sharma, Shami, and Bhuvi or Yadav.
